DC Officials: 7,600 Potholes Repaired During Annual Campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) — Transportation officials in Washington say more than 7,600 potholes were repaired during its annual Potholepalooza campaign.

The District Department of Transportation announced the results of the four-week pothole repair initiative Thursday. Officials said in a statement that city residents made over 1,200 requests for service during the ninth annual campaign.

During the campaign work crews try to make repairs in 48 hours instead of the regular 72-hour turnaround time.
