The Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro station was certainly the station to be at Wednesday, as fans flooded the area for Washington's first postseason baseball game in nearly eight decades.
Nationals Park saw a record crowd of slightly more than 45,000 and that translated over to Metro, which saw about 11,000 people exit the Navy Yard station in the three-hour window leading up to first pitch. At least one of those 11,000 took it upon himself (or herself) to deface the face of a cartoon cardinal.
