‘ER' Star Parminder Nagra Expecting First Child

ER” star Parminder Nagra, who plays Dr. Neela Rasgotra on the NBC show, is expecting her first child, according to Us Weekly.

Nagra, 33, and boyfriend James Stenson are expecting to welcome the child this summer.

“We are thrilled and overjoyed at the prospect of becoming first time parents,” Nagra said.

But motherhood isn’t the only big change in the near future for the actress – she also plans to tie the knot with Stenson.

“Our plans are to get married but there’s no confirmed date yet,” Nagra said. “We have been together for nearly seven years.”

But will the British-born beauty’s soon-to-be baby bump be written in to the “ER” storyline?

“There are no plans to write the pregnancy in the show,” she added.

Nagra, who has appeared in the films “Ella Enchanted” and “Bend It Like Beckham,” said she doesn’t plan on taking time off of work – at least not yet.

“I feel like I will want to work, but who knows what I’ll feel like when the baby arrives,” she said.

The final episode of “ER” will air in 2009. However, a rep for NBC said no date had been set yet for the finale.
