Mark the anniversary of Dolley Madison’s 1814 flight from the White House to Dumbarton House. Dumbarton House will reflect on how Dolley directed enslaved individuals to preserve precious documents and paintings from the White House amidst a fire set by the British in the War of 1812.
The event will feature some of her favorite activities, such as playing yard games and eating ice cream. Admission is free, and visitors may show up anytime from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Self-guided tours will also be available for free, along with a special handout about Dolley.

Join the National Zoo in celebrating their giant panda cub Xiao Qi Ji’s second birthday. The birthday cub and his mother Mei Xiang will be enjoying a panda-friendly "fruitsicle" cake.
The zoo will open its doors at 8 a.m. and the pandas will receive the birthday treat in their outdoor habitats at 9 a.m.

Mexican Geniuses: A Frida & Diego Immersive Experience
