The 2021 Oscars were unlike any of the Academy Awards of years past thanks in part to the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead of the usual Dolby Theater, the Oscars took place at Los Angeles' Union Station.

The Academy Awards went without a host for the third straight year.

Regina King, the show's first presenter, said the maskless live event abided by all the same COVID-19 safety protocols of a Hollywood film set, including vaccinations, testing, distancing and masks when the cameras were off.

Despite all these changes, the glamour was alive and well for Hollywood's biggest night.
