Thinking about a tech startup? How about starting it in the nation's capital?
The Washington D.C. Economic Partnership is pitching visitors to this weekend's South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas to think about D.C. as a location for their big ideas.
WDCEP has partnered with an existing D.C. startup, Event Farm, to create the "WeDC House" during SXSW, showcasing the D.C. region's advances in tech, film, art, music and sports.
The WeDC house will host fireside chats, discussions and panels from March 12 through 14, including a forum on "The Politics of Art in the Global Digital Space" and a panel entitled "Future Government: Market Creator or Destroyer?"
The house will also offer musical performances by local hip-hop artists.
SXSW will take place in Austin, Texas from March 11-15.
