Len Bias' Mom: ‘Hope Is Not Extinct'
Sunday will mark 30 years since the untimely death of Len Bias, one of the University of Maryland’s greatest basketball stars. Bias died just a day after he was the #2 draft pick of the NBA. His mother, Dr. Lonise Bias, visited News4 to to talk about how she has used the loss of not just Len, but also a second son, Jay, to try to help other young people survive in a world that can have a lot of pitfalls and stumbling blocks.
