A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after her Cleveland Park apartment caught fire early Christmas morning.
Fire crews were called to the 3600 block of Connecticut Avenue NW around 2:30 a.m. D.C. Fire spokesman Tim Wilson said the affected unit was on the third floor of the five-story building.
The victim was transported to George Washington Hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
