A shortlist of sites for a future FBI headquarters may be announced Friday, News4 has learned.
Although Prince George's County and northern Virginia have been seen as front-runners for the headquarters and its 11,000 jobs, the Washington Post reported that two district sites also are under consideration.
The D.C. sites being mentioned for the first time are the Old Soldiers' Home off North Capitol Street and the former Walter Reed Hospital site on 16th Street.
The inclusion of the district would come as a surprise, D.C. officials said.
Federal officials declined to comment to News4.
