Students ended up standing alongside the side of the Beltway on Wednesday morning after their school bus caught fire.
The bus caught fire on the Beltway's Outer Loop between Connecticut Avenue and Rockville Pike. The students were evacuated from the bus.
There were no injuries reported.
Jake Lee, an assistant principal at Montgomery County Public Schools' Westland Middle School, sent a tweet to Montgomery County Fire reading, "Thank you @mcfrs for keeping our Westland MS students safe!"
