Grab that umbrella if you plan on heading out Wednesday evening -- heavy showers coupled with potentially severe storms area heading our way.
The storms are expected to begin around 9 p.m. in the D.C. area, bringing a few showers and storms until midnight.
A better chance for more severe weather -- including strong winds of up to 60 mph and hail -- will arrive around 1 or 2 a.m. There's low to no risk of tornado watches with this storm.
The storms are fast-moving and won't cause flooding.
By Thursday morning, the storms will have moved out, leaving behind breezy conditions.
