Peking Gourmet to Celebrate 40th Anniversary by Fundraising for Veterans

One of the nation’s most famous Chinese restaurants is in our backyard and is celebrating a big milestone.

Peking Gourmet Inn in Falls Church, Virginia, is famous for its delicious duck and notable fans. The walls tell the story, with visits from scores of politicians, world leaders, celebrities and U.S. generals.

It was a favorite spot for former President George H.W. Bush and his family.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Peking Gourmet Inn will donate a portion of all sales to Xtreme Couture GI Foundation, which provides veterans with physical, psychological and financial needs.

It’s a cause close to third-generation owner Bobby Tsui, a Marine and combat veteran who re-enlisted after September 11. Tsui told News4 he couldn't think of a better way to toast the big day than by giving back to those who served our country.

The charitable celebration kicks off at the restaurant Monday. It runs from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
