Arlington County police say one person was thrown from the passenger seat of a minivan following a violent crash early Monday morning.
The accident happened on S. Arlington Ridge Road at 3 a.m. Police say a car traveling 55 mph slammed into the back of the minivan. The force of the crash sent the minivan into a telephone pole, and a passenger was ejected.
Two other people were also injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The traffic lights in the intersection are out at this time. Police have set up a stop sign in the area until crews can fix the traffic signal.
