Nine Men Shot, Stabbed in Various Locations in D.C.

Nine men were shot or stabbed in the District early Saturday in separate incidents across the city, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

A man was shot in the leg in the 3800 block of 8th Street, Southeast. The incident occurred around 12:10 a.m., and the victim was conscious and breathing when he was taken to the hospital.

One man was shot in the arm in the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Jr., Southeast, at 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Police have no suspect information at this time.

A man was shot in the foot in the 300 block of Upshur Street, Northwest, around 1:20 a.m. He was transported to the hospital.

Three people were shot around 2:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Irvington Street, Southwest. Police said all three men were conscious and breathing, and they were taken to the hospital.

One man was shot in the back in the 800 block of Chesapeake Street, Southeast. Police said the man was taken to the hospital, and the suspect may have been driving a white Chrysler with Maryland license plates.

One man was stabbed multiple times in the 5000 block of Just Street, Northeast. The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

A man was taken to the hospital with a stab wound around 3:40 a.m. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Irving Street, Northwest.

In all cases, the victims are expected to recover. Other than the one vehicle description in the Chesapeake Street shooting, police released no suspect information. The victims have not been identified.
