There are new developments in the case of a northern Virginia activist missing for almost three weeks.
Investigators found Lenny Harris's unoccupied 1994 Toyota Corolla early Tuesday morning in Prince George's County, Md.
The 53-year-old was last seen at an Alexandria recreation center the evening of Sept. 21.
As friends and family continue their desperate search, police are putting pressure on the public to come forward with information.
They suspect foul play since Harris’s cell phone was found on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, and surveillance cameras show someone using his credit card.
Police describe their person of interest as a black man with a mustache and small goatee. He also has a tattoo on his forearm and was last seen wearing a T-shirt and baseball hat.
Harris, a longtime fixture in Virginia, was best known as an advocate for the underprivileged.
He’s also a regular at city recreation centers where he helps children succeed in school by finding tutors.
