A passenger was shot twice while riding on a Metrobus Sunday morning in northeast Washington.
According to WMATA, the U6 bus was at 37th Street and Ridge Road Northeast at about 6:30 a.m. when shots entered the bus through a rear window. A bullet struck a male passenger. The passenger and one other person who was not injuried got off the bus.
The victim was transported to a local hospital.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the person who was struck.
There was also no immediate word on the shooter. The bus was equipped with cameras inside and outside. Investigators will be examining those videos for evidence.
