One woman is dead and seven other people are recovering from injuries suffered in two separate quadruple stabbings in northwest Washington Sunday.
The most recent stabbing happened just before 9:30 p.m. near the U Street Metro station. Police say two men and two women were stabbed in the area of 14th and T streets NW.
One of the victims, a woman, died from her injuries. There's no word on the conditions of the other victims.
Police believe the case is domestic in nature.
Hours earlier, four people, three men and a woman, were stabbed around 2 a.m. in Chinatown.
A man has been arrested in connection with that stabbing. Authorities say all of the victims in that incident suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
