Former Fairfax County Officer Sentenced to 6 Months for Possessing Child Porn

A former Fairfax County, Virginia, police public information officer has been sentenced to six months in prison for possessing child pornography.

William β€œBud” Walker was arrested and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography in April 2015.

Detectives tracked the server of an account that depicted child pornography to Walker’s address in Fairfax. Walker was fired in reaction to the investigation.

Later that month, he was released on a $15,000 bond.

On May 23, 2016, Walker plead guilty to possession of child pornography.

Walker will have two years of supervised probation after his sentence and must register as a sex offender.
