The driver of a Ferrari lost control on the GW Parkway Friday morning, crashing his car and walking away from it minutes before it erupted in flames.
According to U.S. Park Police, crews responded to southbound GW Parkway at the Roosevelt Bridge around 9 a.m. for a crash.
When they got there, the Ferrari 360, worth about $200,000, was fully engulfed in flames.
Police say the driver got out of the car after the crash and moments before the car erupted into flames and split in two.
At the time of the crash, heavy rain was reported in the area.
