Wal-Mart was the target of another round of protests on Black Friday as demonstrators called on the company to pay its workers $15 an hour.
The union-backed group Our Walmart says demonstrations were planned at 1,600 stores around the country, including the retailer's H Street location in Washington, D.C.
"This is what democracy looks like," protesters chanted as they picketed outside the store.
In addition to an increase in pay, workers are also calling for full-time hours.
The mood at the mostly peaceful demonstration changed quickly after some protesters went inside the store. Security officers escorted them out and shut the doors.
Amanda Henneberg, a Wal-Mart spokeswoman, claims the group is made up of paid union demostrators and do not represent the retailer's 1.3. million employees nationwide.
"It's unfortunate that this group attempted to disrupt the holiday spirit to push their agenda," Henneberg added.
