Police in Fair Oaks reported another woman was slashed in the buttocks with a razor blade in northern Virginia.
According to authorities, the victim was a 21-year-old woman shopping at T.J. Maxx at Fairfax Town Center on June 8.
The woman said that she felt a pinch in her rear area while in the store, and when she turned around, she saw a man behind her picking up clothing from the floor. She told police that, initially, she believed she may have been cut by one of the hangers.
The victim told police that when she returned home she discovered cuts in her clothes. She described the culprit as Hispanic, wearing long pants and a short-sleeved shirt.
That description is similar to the culprit described in five other slashings that have taken place since February. All of the victims have been in their late teens or early 20s. The most recent assault took place at the Forever 21 store inside the Fair Oaks Mall July 25.
