Two Washington-area residents are among First Lady Michelle Obama's guests for the president's State of the Union address Tuesday.
D.C. businessman Mark Davis and Army veteran Naveed Shah of Springfield, Virginia, will be sitting in Mrs. Obama's visitor box.
Davis, inspired by Obama's focus on climate change, started a business that trains low-income individuals to install solar panels and prepares people for green-tech jobs.
Shah, who immigrated to the U.S. with his Pakistani parents and served in Iraq after enlisting in 2006, volunteers with groups helping veterans transition from military to civilian life.
