#CloseFCPS Trending Again as Students Call for Snow Day

Students in Fairfax County certainly know how to make their feelings known.

Students once again took to Twitter to call for a snow day as sub-zero wind chill temperatures gripped the region Thursday.

Fairfax County school officials, like many across the area, decided to open on time Thursday. But some students were left standing at the bus stop after buses to three neighborhoods were delayed by up to an hour.

By 8:30 a.m., all elementary school buses in the Herndon, Marshall and South Lakes pyramids were running on time, and most middle school students had arrived to school on time.

Through much of the morning, students voiced their opinion on having to go to class and made #CloseFCPS a trending topic on Twitter.

Last month, #CloseFCPS became a trending topic worldwide after school officials decided to open schools despite inclement weather.
