A jogger running down the bike path at Anacostia Park spotted the body at the edge of the river just before 5 a.m. and flagged down police. The body was found under the 11th Street Bridge.
Police say the victim is an adult white male, who's 40 to 50 years old. There was no trauma to the body. Based on the position the body was found in and its condition, investigators believe the man was in the water for a period of time.
