Bill Clinton Leads Rally for Wife in Alexandria

Virginia will hold Democratic and Republican primaries Tuesday

Former President Bill Clinton led a get-out-the-vote rally for his wife in Virginia just days ahead of the March 1 Super Tuesday primary.

The former president apeared at a rally for his wife in Alexandria Wednesday afternoon. The event was held at the Durant Art Center in Old Town.

From there, the former president was scheduled to travel to Richmond for a Hillary Clinton campaign event in the state's capitol. The rally is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hippodrome. Doors to the historic renovated theater open at 6 p.m.

Hillary Clinton is competing with Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Vermont will hold Democratic and Republican primaries Tuesday.
