D.C. police and firefighters responded to reports of an abandoned baby on a busy downtown street Tuesday.
The infant was found in a stroller on E Street near the D.C. Court of Appeals. No adults were near the baby.
The baby was taken to a hospital and is in good health. Child and Family Services currently has custody of the baby.
The child's aunt was arrested about a block away from where the infant was found. She was charged with second-degree cruelty to a child.
Police have located the child's parent, sources said.
