The body of a woman who was reported missing was discovered near a park trail in St. Mary’s County, Md.
Police said Moneta Jo Strickland, 32, of California, Md., was last seen Thursday when she was last seen heading to John V. Baggett Park.
Her vehicle was at the park near the Three Notch Trail. Officers and K-9 units searched the area and found Strickland’s body near the trail.
The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Police said the circumstances are considered suspicious.
