A 25-year-old man is accused of raping a 9-year-old girl he has babysat regularly for the past several years.
According to court documents, the girl was raped in the Mount Vernon Square apartment complex in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County.
The girl told police her babysitter for the past four years, Alberto Urrutia, routinely sexually assaulted her since January 2010. She told police Urrutia would show her and her 6-year-old sister adult and child pornography, and would place tape over her mouth during sexual assaults, documents say.
Police say the investigation began when the girls' parents overheard her talking about "sexual topics in a frank way."
"Apparently the young girls were talking with their parents and using language that typically children of that age may not be familiar with," Lucy Caldwell with Fairfax County Police said.
