Abuse Survivor Bikes 2,000 Miles to D.C.
A child abuse survivor biked from than 2,000 miles across the U.S. and arrived in D.C. on Wednesday. David Higgins made the ride to raise awareness about the critical role of child advocacy centers. He started out in Washington state and wrapped up his cross country trip here at Safe Shores in Northwest D.C., the District’s only child advocacy center providing free services to victims of child sex abuse.
