Fifty-five people were arrested during a protest against the Keystone XL pipeline Saturday morning.
Police said the group of demonstrators marched in the downtown area and some rushed in to the lobby of a building in the 1700 block of I Street NW.
The building demonstrators targeted houses the offices of Environmental Resources Management, a consulting firm hired to assess the pipeline's potential environmental impact.
Police and the building's management advised the group to leave. When they didn't, they were arrested for unlawful entry.
