A fire killed two people dead in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
A man was found dead in the house early Tuesday, while a woman who was removed from the residence went into cardiac arrest in an ambulance, the Free Lance-Star http://bit.ly/1KmtjA4 reported. Fire and rescue officials say she died at the hospital.
The names of the victims have not been released but they were believed to be in their 60s.
A dog also died in the fire.
Firefighters said the house was engulfed in flames when they arrived before 2:30 a.m. after a call from a neighbor. The cause is under investigation.
