A man from northern Virginia faces a host of weapons charges after being arrested Monday in New Jersey.
Police say Lloyd Woodson, 43, was found with several guns, ammunition, and a grenade launcher.
What was really a concern to authorities is that Woodson had a map of a U.S. military installation. The FBI, however, said Woodson has no known terrorism link.
The arrest came in Branchburg, N.J., more than 200 miles from Woodson’s last known address in Reston, Va.
It all started around 4 a.m. when Woodson was seen acting suspiciously inside a convenience store. He was wearing a military jacket with a bulletproof vest underneath.
Police said he led them on a foot chase that ended up at a trailer park. Officers tackled him to the ground and used pepper spray to subdue him.
When police searched him they found he was carrying a Bushmaster semi-automatic assault rifle with a scratched-out serial number, as well as four additional magazines loaded with high-powered ammunition.
