A pair of home-made bombs planted in mailboxes have Albermarle County authorities concerned.
The explosives were built with plastic soda bottles and filled with caustic liquid, the Daily Progress reported.
The bombs were discovered Thursday morning at two seperate locations, one in Carrsbrook and the other on Powell Creek Drive. The devices did not cause any injuries.
Fire Marshall investigators continue to collect evidence, and have requested residents who notice anything suspicious to call 911 immediately.
Authorities say these types of devices can be mistaken for trash and could result in injury when picked up.
