Baltimore Mayor Released From Hospital

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said drinking too much coffee is likely to blame for her brief hospitalization.

Rawlings-Blake woke up early Thursday with chest pains and lightheadedness. She underwent a series of tests at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was released at 2 p.m.

Rawlings-Blake said her trip to the hospital was precautionary, and she was given a "100 percent clean bill of health." She said the symptoms were triggered by a gastrointestinal problem and were not stress-related. The mayor said, "I just need to slow down my Starbucks habit."

The 39-year-old Rawlings-Blake said doctors told her to stay hydrated, but there are no restrictions on her activity.

Rawlings-Blake has been mayor for one month.
