Don't walk alone, especially between 2-4 a.m.
That's the advice being given by police in College Park, Md., following yet another robbery in the area.
The latest incident happened early Sunday morning. Police said three men jumped their victim from behind just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday as he walked through the parking lot of the College Park Shopping Center. The man was assaulted and then robbed.
The crime is the latest in a string of robberies near the University of Maryland campus. There have been six such robberies since August 8.
It is unclear if the crimes are connected. All have happened early in the morning and involve several suspects. In some cases the criminals have had weapons. In other cases the victims have been beaten.
The latest victim does not attend the University of Maryland, but several other victims have been students.
Last week police arrested 19-year-old Chenor Jah in connection with a robbery in early August. Investigators are still looking for two other men in that case. Despite that arrest, the robberies continue.
