The public now has the chance to take a tour of one of D.C.'s new, modern streetcars.
The District Department of Transportation is unveiling one of its three streetcars on temporary tracks at the City Center lot. People will be able to learn how the streetcars will operate in the District.
The streetcars will begin operating in 2012. It's been 50 years since the streetcar was in use.
The public can access the showcase at 9th and H streets Northwest. The exhibition runs today through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and ends on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
