Return to a galaxy far, far away in the second teaser trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which lands in theaters on December 18, 2015.

If "Star Wars" fans and Disney/Lucasfilm had their way, May 4 would be a national holiday.

But for now, "Star Wars" Day or "May the fourth be with you" (a riff on the movie saying "May the Force be with you") remains an unofficial celebration of all things happening in a galaxy far, far away. And with the latest, highly-anticipated installment of the franchise, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," set to land in theaters on December 18, it's no surprise on May 4, 2015 that social media is awash with fan-favorite slogans, dancing stormtroopers and pets dressed as Yoda.

Add to that new images of characters and creatures from the upcoming film released via Vanity Fair, a list of "MayThe4thBeWithYou" deals on merchandise over at StarWars.com, and a recent teaser trailer for "The Force Awakens" (above) featuring our first look at Harrison Ford returning as Han Solo.

So popular is the event this year that even real-life space explorers from NASA and the International Space Station are getting in on the action.
