It's shaping to be a special period in actress Ginnifer Goodwin's life, and it’s not because it's the last season of her show “Big Love.”
Goodwin, who plays Margene Heffman, one of three women married to polygamist Bill Henrickson on the HBO series, is now engaged to her boyfriend, Joey Kern, People reported last night.
"We couldn't be happier than to celebrate our engagement over the holidays with our families," said the pair to the magazine.
E! News reported that Kern, 34, also designed the ring when he proposed to Goodwin in early December.
The couple, who have dated for two years, are scheduled to get hitched in the fall.
“Big Love,” which also stars Bill Paxton, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Chloe Sevigny, will air its final season on HBO starting Jan. 16.
