Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder will meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in New York Tuesday to discuss the controversy regarding the team's polarizing name, according to a report from CSN Washington.
Said controversy is well-documented, and the debate over whether or not the Redskins should move away from a nickname that many believe is a racist slur is intensifying by the day.
The reported meeting comes one day before a scheduled meeting between senior NFL officials and Oneida Indian Nation, which has been among the most vocal supporters for a name change.
