You may have missed it while the Redskins were losing to the Rams and the Nationals were being swept by the Braves, but the Kastles won their third World Team Tennis title in the past four years Sunday in a 20-19 victory over the Sacramento Capitals (which shares the name of another D.C. team whose season was locked out this weekend).
Venus Williams led the way, winning her sets in women's doubles, mixed doubles and women's singles.
The Kastles have won 31 consecutive games, which is one shy of the U.S. professional sports record of 33 set by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.
See, Washington? Somebody won this weekend.
