Gallery Neptune, Bethesda

Now at its new home in the Peripoint Building in Bethesda, Gallery Neptune hosts monthly showcases featuring top mid-Atlantic artists. Art classes for adults and children are available during the week. Gallery Neptune is also available rental space for special events.

Govinda, National Harbour

For 33 years Govinda operated in Georgetown drawing art lovers to visit its unique gallery, which specializes in material painting and photography focus. Now they've opened another space in National Harbour. This spacious new gallery features an ongoing artist in residence program on the weekends where art lovers can watch as an artists creates a masterpiece in the center of the gallery. Govinda also hosts group showcases or individual exhbibitions, which changes about every six to seven weeks.

H&F Fine Arts, Mount Rainier

Located right outside of D.C. H&F Fine Arts focuses on contemporary fine arts. This gallery hosts monthly exhibitions and artist workshops led by local artists. Learn photography, sculpting, sketching, and printmaking.

Hamiltonian, U Street

Named after an African-American general who fought in both world wars, the Hamiltonian gallery is both historical and unique. Its spacious area is over 2,000 sq. feet. The gallery is intended to showcase the work of the gallery's fellows and their mentors. Artists not in the fellow program will also have a chance to showcase their work in monthly exhibitions.

Created to give Anacostia residents better access to the arts, this gallery focuses on contemporary art. It also attempts to incorporate socially conscious exhibitions and installations. Both local and international artists have a chance to showcase their work at Honfleur's exhibitions.

Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery, U Street Project 4, U St.

This gallery is a non-profit dedicated to using the arts as a method for healing. Artists are featured on a monthly basis and selected on the basis that their work brings hope and healing to the viewers. The gallery showcases 2D and 3D pieces as well as video installations.

Workhouse Arts Center, Lorton

This gallery provides visual and performing arts studio and exhibition space and arts education programs for those of all ages and artistic abilities. The Collector's Showcase offers private collection exhibitions followed by panel discussions dealing with art collection. The Arts Center offers classes from ceramics to watercolor to mixed media.
