DANCE DANCE: Bhangra Blowout takes over DAR Constitution Hall (1776 D St. N.W.) for a massive dance competition sponsored by the George Washington University's South Asian Society. Bhangra dance is a beat-focused, high-energy style from the Punjabi region of Northern India and Pakistan. Eight top university teams will compete for a night that's always full of excitement. Expect a special guest performance by the Bollywood Superstars. 7 p.m.; $30-$36.
DOUBLE-DOG DARE: Drinking with your dog? Hey, you do it at home, after all. Bring your fur kid to McGinty's Public House (911 Ellsworth Drive, Silver Spring) for Pints for Paws. Expect food and drink specials, and help raise funds for local animal rescue groups. 4-7 p.m.; $10 donation.
Relive your childhood and/or awkward adolescence via That '80s Prom at BlackFin (1620 I St. N.W.), which throws together music videos, lots of AquaNet and Pop Rocks, and '80s cover band Hair Raid. Advance tickets are sold out, but you should be able to luck out at the door. 9 p.m.: $15+.
